The downloads below are all complete versions of the Test Pilot. Until a serial number is entered in the appropriate manner, the software will function in a trial manner. That is, it will cease to function after a specific date. It will also periodically cease to function (requiring a restart) after a specific number of transactions have occurred. Consult the distribution's README file to check the expiration date and transaction limit for trial versions. The limits are also listed at the bottom of all web pages generated by Test Pilot.
If you are trying out Test Pilot for the first time, it is strongly suggested that you participate in a test drive on ClearLearning's servers so as to introduce yourself with the vast capabilities of the software before installing it. If you do continue and download a trial copy for installation on your own computer, may we suggest downloading the standalone demo distribution from the list below. It includes a special intelligent installer that makes setup quite simple. If you have reached this download page as a result of a credit card purchase of Test Pilot, you will soon receive an e-mail message with your serial number information. If you've already downloaded a trial (not standalone) version of Test Pilot, you do not need to download or install another copy of the software. Simply enter the serial number that you receive in the servlets initialization arguments as shown on the install page appropriate to your operating system. Please note that Java is NOT REQUIRED for authoring assessements on a personal computer. Java is ONLY required on the computer used to deliver Test Pilot assessments to participants.
