Customizing your Assessment's Appearance

The Look and Feel Controls of the Test Pilot database control how the assessments generated by the web server component are presented to the user. The controls include:

  1. Headers & Footers - custom messages to appear at the top and bottom of web pages. You can also enter your assessment's instructions on this screen.

  • Global Random Variables - unlike the local random variables used in mathematical formula-based fill in the blank questions, global random varables can be shared by multiple questions. This permits a range of questions to be offered refering to the same set of data.

  • Color & Style - this gives you control over the text and background of the generated web pages. You can also have questions offered one-at-a-time as opposed to all at once.

  • Editing Defaults - these options are time-saving conveniences for editing questions using Test Pilot's database.
