Selecting Questions for your Assessments
The question selection screens of the database allow you to control exactly which questions appear on assessments generated by the Test Pilot web server component. Selection may be accomplished in three ways:
- Pick and Group - the first question selection screen lists all the questions in your database allowing you to easily assign them to groups and choose to omit or include them in any assessment. It also offers a quick and handy way to jump to and edit any question.
Group Selection - once you have organized your questions into groups, you can turn on and off those groups using this screen. That is, you can generate one assessment made up with questions from one set of groups, and with a few, quick, checkbox selections, generate another assessment from another set of groups.
Random Selection - with this screen you can have Test Pilot's web server extension automatically pick a random subset of questions from your question groups. Every time an assessment is generated a different random selection is possible. This is particularly useful in computer lab testing situations.
Keyword Selection - each question in Test Pilot may have certain keywords associated with them. This screen permits you to choose to include questions on a test that match one or more keywords in a list that you provide.
