Downloading, Viewing and Adjusting User Scores
The response scoring options allow you to manually score responses which ordinarily cannot be automatically scored (such as essay questions) and retrieve and adjust individual scores. You can:
score an individual's response You can click on Score User to begin scoring individual participant's responses or you can enter a user id in the box provided and click on Score User to begin scoring a particular individual's responses. score a particular question's responses You can enter a question's id number in the box provided and click on the Score Question button to score each individual's response to a particular question - one at a time. If you first check the score all responses at once checkbox, all answers to a particular question are presented on a single web page for your convenience to score. view a list of each participant's scores If you click on the View Score Table button, a web page table of participant scores is generated. Such a report is shown below:
download a spreadsheet of scores If you click on the Download Scores button, a tab delimited file is generated with each line showing a user id, score and percentage. If your browser is configured properly, this file will be automatically dumped into a spreadsheet or database package where you can cut and paste or merge the scores into an electronic gradebook or perform some statistical analysis on the scores. e-mail scores to participants If you have entered e-mail addresses into the user list of participants permitted to access the assessment and you have configured Test Pilot's web server extension with the name of a valid Internet mail server, the E-Mail Scores button will be presented to allow you to automatically generate e-mail messages to each participant indicating their score. |
