Attempt Limits
Back - Time Limits Up - Security Next - Workstation

The Attempt Limits security controls are meant to control how often users may participate in assessments. Some assessments are used as tutorials where would be no limit imposed on the number of time a user may attempt submitting responses. Others such as practice tests may be limited. Finally exams and quizzes may be limited to one attempt at completion.

In order to restrict attempts you must check the enable these restrictions checkbox. If you wish to leave any particular attempt restriction disabled, simply leave them blank or enter zero into the appropriate box.

  • limit request attempts - this is a count of the number of times that a participant is permitted to request to see the assessment

  • limit submission attempts - this is a count of the number of times that a participant is permitted to submit responses to an assessment.
