Question Selection & Grouping
Back - Editing Groups Up - Authoring Online Next - Reordering
In Test Pilot Classic versions prior to v3.2, the following interface is used to edit question groups. We encourge all v3 customers to install the free upgrade to v3.2 and above to receive the new, improved groups editing interface.

At the top of the Choose Questions page is a list of all questions entered in your Test Pilot .tp3 file.

You may select questions off of this list and have them added to the groups you create below them. To create a new group, simply enter a name in the new group box and click update.

You may assign a name to the group. You may enable or disable the group. Only questions in enabled groups will appear on assessments generated by Test Pilot. Thus you can create a huge pool of questions and only select a few at a time to be offered to participants.

To add questions to a group, hold down the control or command key and click upon the questions' ids in the question list. Once you have selected all of the questions to be added to a particular group, select the appropriate group from the popup menu located below the question selection box:

Click update and the selected questions will be added to the selected group.

To have Test Pilot make a random selection of questions from a particular group, check the group's random selection box and enter the number of questions you want selected in the space provided, and click update.

To delete questions from a group, hold down the control or command key and click upon the questions' ids in the group's unique question list. Once you have selected all of the questions to be deleted from a particular group, check the appropriate remove selection from group box and click update.

To delete an entire group, check the group's delete this group box and click update.

Saving your Changes - Don't forget to Update

It should be noted that on the editing panels, you will see one or more Update buttons. Whenever you adjust a setting or make changes to any item, you must click an update button to record the changes. You may make multiple changes and then click Update, but if you fail to click the update button, your changes may not be recorded.
