The Test Pilot can maintain a library of assessments that are accessible for check out by any author. This library permits for the sharing of assessments between all Test Pilot authors. The site administrator can promote one or more of your tests into the library where it may be accessed by other authors.

Assessments placed in the library are copied there allowing you to continue to work on and develop any test in your index. Also, no security information is copied with the assessment to the library to preserve privacy. Any author checking out an assessment from the library will need to define their own security for their copy of the checked out assessment.

Clicking on the Public Library link on your index will result in a screen like the following:

Navigating

You'll note a set of links at the top to permit you to move up and down the library's tree structure. To return to managing your Test Pilot index, click the Return to Adminstration Home button.

To descend to a subcatalog, providing there are subcatalogs, they will be listed as links in the list shown without a select button. Simply click on the link to see the entries of that subcatalog.

Checking Out An Assessment

To check out an assessment, click the associated select button, enter a valid filename ending in .tp4 in the space provided and click the Check Out Selected Title button.

Assessments that are checked out will be copied to the author's index with open user, manager and computer security. It is the responsibility of the author to define any security options to associate with the new assessment.
